Shipping Policies
We ship worldwide, pre-paid, fully insured via the carrier of the customer’s
choice. Customer is responsible for all shipping, insurance, bank charges,
duties and taxes. Any loss or damage in shipping is the customer’s
responsibility. Customer assumes responsibility for any insurance claims.
Payment Policies
For domestic orders, we accept

money orders, bank checks and wire transfers. For international orders, we
accept
and wire transfers.
24-Hour Hold and 30-Day Lay-Away Policies
We will gladly put an item on hold for 24-hours. A 50% deposit is required to
hold/lay-away an item for thirty days. After thirty days, if the item is not
paid in-full, the deposit will be returned less 20% of the selling price for
restocking.
Return Policies
We offer a 24-hour approval period on guitars. If you are not satisfied with the
guitar, notify us within 24 hours and ship the guitar back promptly. When we
receive the guitar, packed in the same carton with the same packing material and
in the same condition it was sent, we will refund your money less shipping
charges and a 20% restocking fee. The return will be void if the instrument is
not insured by the sending party. All amp sales are final. All amps are shipped
in good working order unless otherwise stated. Layaway plan voids approval
period. eBay auction sales are final. Stuart Fine Custom Instruments are custom
built and made-to-order, as such, all sales are final.
Guitar Appraisal
For a written appraisal by mail, please provide the following:
- Clear color photos of the body (top and back), headstock (front and back),
fingerboard (and back of neck) and (if applicable) the neck joint.
- Serial number and any other numbers, including the area where these
numbers are
found.
- Is it complete with the original case, (if so, what is the condition?) hangtags
or other documentation?
- Description and photos of any modifications, damage or repairs.
- A list of any repairs that need to be done to the instrument.
- Send $27.00 per instrument (
, money order or check drawn from
a US bank).
- Include your mailing address and daytime phone number.
Consignment Policy
VVG™ is interested in your guitar and would like the opportunity to offer it as
a consignment item. If you have a question about whether we are interested in
your instrument please send us an E-mail or call us at 949.635.9797.
Our basic consignment policy is as follows. Please read our
Consignment Agreement for full details.
- We charge a 15% commission to consign your instrument.
- Your instrument will be fully insured while it is in our possession. When you
ship it to us, be sure it is insured.
- We only feature instruments that are all original, clean and in proper working
condition. If your instrument requires cleaning and polishing or repairs, we
expect you to pay for these services at the time the service is rendered. We
will provide you with an estimate of costs before they are performed. We
encourage you to clean and polish your instrument prior to shipping it to us.
- We require a minimum of three (3) months to sell your instrument. If you
elect
to have the instrument returned before it is sold, a $100.00 listing
fee will be
charged to cover all associated costs.
